Video: Healthy relationships

Healthy relationships for neurodiverse young people

This session has been developed in consultation with parents and carers of SEND/Neurodivergent young people. In this session we look at the day-to-day risks to our young people. We help you to recognise those risks and signs that your young person may be being groomed, taken advantage of, or exploited. We explore what a healthy relationship or friendship looks like, how to help your young person differentiate between healthy and unhealthy and how to have those embarrassing ( but necessary) conversations. We look at safety planning and tools and strategies to promote happy healthy futures. We look at domestic abuse and sexual exploitation in this session. We want our young people to expect more and not settle for ‘good enough’ when it comes to love and friendships.

This video is part of a longer video that covers many themes related to youth safety.
