Misogyny and the Manosphere
Misogynistic content and manosphere communities are becoming increasingly visible across social media, gaming platforms and video-sharing sites. This resource hub includes highlights from our awareness session, expert insights and practical advice to help parents, carers and professionals recognise harmful narratives, build critical thinking skills, and support young people to develop healthy, respectful relationships online and offline.
From Andrew Tate to incel forums, online misogyny has moved from the fringes to the mainstream, and it is influencing the attitudes and behaviours of boys and young men at scale. This webinar examines the ideologies underpinning the manosphere and what parents and carers can do to interrupt that journey early. This session aims to help parents and carers explore practical ways to open conversations that challenge harmful attitudes without shutting down lines of communication with young people.
